Manikarnika: Watch fierce and feisty Kangana Ranaut blood-soaked on the battlefield

The very long-awaited teaser of Manikarnika: The queen of Jhansi is out today and is already bagging loads of love on the internet.  Take tones of courage, motherhood, leadership, valor, and dignity and pack it into a frame of strong personality who terrified the British to death; and we get Manikarnika Tambe or the great Maharani Lakshmi Bai. A perfect epitome of woman empowerment in the times when a woman was nothing but treated as a possession. And, who else could it have been to play the role other than Kangana Ranaut?

Kangana Ranaut as always did not fail to impress us with her acting, style, and expressions. She has very luminously illustrated the role of Jhansi Ki Rani. According to the teaser, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi looks magnificent. The teaser commences with a voiceover of Amitabh Bachchan. In his husky voice, he defines the British era in the mid-1800s and establishes the story of their brutality in our mind. Manikarnika Tambe, the queen of Jhansi, decides to fight for her motherland.

From the beginning of the teaser itself, she eloquently introduces the character of Rani Lakshmi Bai. Within the first 30 to 50 seconds, we have already started to praise the ace in leadership, maestro of horse riding, a celebrated sword virtuoso, and the doyen queen. It is also portrayed that along with being a fiery warrior and she is also a tender mother.

In the latter half of the teaser, we apparently get glimpses of Kangana Ranaut as Manikarnika planning the war, fighting valiantly against the British, tearing down the British flag and single-handedly slaughtering the British personnel. To see her filled with blood all over her body and face was enough to instill pride and respect in us and it also gave us goosebumps. It ends with the voiceover of Amitabh Bachchan famous lines from the poem of Subhadra Kumari Chauhan;

“बुंदेले हरबोलों के मुँह हमने सुनी कहानी थी, खूब लड़ी मर्दानी वह तो झाँसी वाली रानी थी।”

Written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, Prasoon Joshi has written the songs. The movie is directed by Directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamundi. Manikarnika: The queen of Jhansi casts Ankita Lokhande, Jisshu Sengupta, Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, and Zeeshan Ayyub. The trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composes the music. Alongside, the background score of Manikarnika: Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara perform the queen of Jhansi.

Kairos Kontent Studios and EaseMyTrip are the production team, while Zee studios will primarily handle the distribution. The current release date is on January 25, 2019. It will be a great new years’ gift for us.
